The Blinds This is a texas holdem term which refers to the type of bet a player makes. In this type of poker, there is a disc called the 'button' which indicates the player that will be assigned as dealer for the present game. before the game starts, the player quickly clockwise the button posts the 'small blind', this is usually one half of the small bet. ( for example 1$ in a 2$/4$ game.) The player quickly shift clockwise from the small blind posts the 'big blind'. This is usually a full small bet ( a2$ on a 2$/4$ game.) Then each player will receive their corresponding two hole cards.

The pre-flop This is another texas holdem term used in poker when calling for the initial round of betting. The players will play their hand by calling or raising the big blind after seeing their cards. As we have said, the big blind is equal to the amount of the full small bet. hence, in a 2$/4$ texas holdem poker game, it would cost 2$ to call in this first round of betting. This is known as the pre-flop.

Some of the texas holdem action terms are bet, call, or raise. Such actions are made depending on the actions executed by the previous player. Each poker player can always decide to fold whenever he wants. The first player to play can choose to decide whether to bet, call, or raise. Succeeding players can either call or raise. Call is a texas holdem term for a bet that is of the same amount the previous player made. To 'raise' is another texas holdem term which means to match the previous bet and increase the amount of bet.

The flop Flop is a texas holdem poker term which is consist of three community poker cards that are available to the players. It is being dealt face-up on the board. Playing starts with the active online player quickly clockwise the button.

The turn This is a texas holdem term for the fourth community card. After betting is completed for the flop round, the turn is being dealt face-up on the board. Play begins with the same procedure as the previous, but this time bets are doubled from small to the big bet.
